Quicktime Virtual Reality Software
Introduction
There are multiple approaches to shooting Quicktime VR movies that range from shooting a series of photographs using standard lenses or shooting two or three with a fisheye lens. Regardless of the photographic technique the photograph(s) need to be processed to convert them into a standard or a cubic Quicktime VR movie.
All of the products listed here have various strengths and weaknesses and Apple Quicktime VR software has been dropped from this list because there is no indication that it will be updated for the Mac Intel processors. It will run under Classic on Mac PowerPC systems but it has not been updated in years. I still use it but I would not recommend purchasing it unless a Universal Binary version of it is released.
Note that Mapwing is a completely different approach to virtual reality touring as it does not rely on stitching images to create panoramas.
