Shih Tzu are charming, beautiful little dogs. They're fairly high-maintenance in that their coats need quite a bit of work but I've never heard anyone complain about it as they really are adorable animals. My previous experiences had been with boxers so it was quite a 'culture shock' to live with Shih Tzu but I was charmed by them nevertheless.
One of the most interesting parts of this site is the Shih Tzu Breed Survey. It has been collecting information from furbaby owners for years now and the results are pretty clear. Most owners think that Shih Tzu are fairly intelligent and virtually all agree that they're incredibly loyal and affectionate.

5/16/06: There's more than one new arrival in Jack's household! Zoe has a brother! I've studied all the pictures and I cannot tell them apart. More pictures as Jack sends them.
