Newport, Rhode Island
Newport is unique in Rhode Island as it attracts the majority of the tourists so the things going on here are quite a bit different from the rest of Rhode Island. In the Summer, it is bustling with life and colors whereas in Winter it will be fairly calm. But it's always relaxed. You will never see anyone running unless it's for exercise. People come to stroll through the shopping areas, to enjoy the marina, and to visit the cottages (that's what the ridiculously-rich called their mansions in their day). There are many other things to do as well such as scuba-diving, parasailing, and just about any other water sport you want to name.
