Rhode Island - Where to Go and How to Find It!
Most people couldn't find Rhode Island much less tell you what it's like so this page will show some of the attractions and how to find them. The Google map shows all of Rhode Island but you can zoom in on Providence and Newport or any of the other tabbed areas to learn more about the attractions in each area. You can also move the map around with your mouse to get an idea of the surrounding area.
You may prefer to go instead to the Providence or Newport pages as those will give you immediate close-ups of each city. All of the maps are specialized for the attractions in each area or by the type of attraction. For example, the Restaurants map has the best of Rhode Island's restaurants.
The easiest way to use the map is to click on the names in the table on the right. The map will find the associated attraction for you. If you do it this way, you won't have to close the information window before you click the next name.
Tip: Double click on a part of the map that interests you and this will center it. Then use the 'Zoom In' button at the top left to expand the display. That will spread the tabs out to make it easier for you to get at them for that area. The tabs are quite dense in Providence and Newport so zooming in will help a lot.
