Rhode Island Restaurants

Rhode Island has at least as many seafood restaurants as you would expect and a lobster roll (kind of a lobster hotdog) is a staple here. There is also a wide variety of other restaurants from which to choose and this map will help you find them. Italian restaurants and Portuguese restaurants are popular here and there are many that offer a classic American menu. The average dinner is about fifteen to twenty dollars in a nice restaurant, less in a casual restaurant and sometimes considerably more in a formal restaurant.

The list of restaurants is not presented in any particular order so I'll tell you now that Mediterraneo is a personal favorite. Of all the restaurants on Federal Hill, it is the one I am most likely to select. The food is excellent and there is an unpretentious elegance to the service that makes for quite a good experience.

The list is steadily expanding as my own favorite restaurants are merged with those of friends. No restaurant goes onto this page without a personal recommendation to me and/or from me.

Easiest Way to Find Rhode Island Restaurants:

Look through the table on the right of Rhode Island restaurants for the type of restaurant you are trying to find. Click on any name you find interesting and then let the map show you where the restaurant is located.   A little window will have opened to present some information on it.   Most have the restaurant's address and telephone number.   (So long as you are selecting by name, you do not have to close the information window before clicking on the next name)

Tip: Use Zoom In to expand the area you want to explore and then click on the restaurant names to learn more about them.
