Krohn Conservatory Introduction
There are some things in Cincinnati that one simply should not miss and this is one of them. In fact, many people return to Cincinnati, year after year, to see events such as the Butterfly Show and the Christmas Display. Eden Park is lovely in its own right and it is the perfect place for the conservatory. It is a place of peace and serenity you are not likely to forget.
Eden Park is also home to the Playhouse in the Park and the Cincinnati Art Museum, both of which are also loved by Cincinnatians. It is a very special place.
Krohn Conservatory Directions
The Krohn Conservatory is located at 1501 Eden Park Drive in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The map can be zoomed and moved around to familiarize yourself with the location.
Play with the map a little to get an idea of the area as many of the streets, particularly in nearby Mt Adams, are one-way and this can be confusing to a first-time visitor.
Krohn Conservatory Visiting Hours
The Conservatory is open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. every day of the week.
For special holidays, the Conservatory will stay open during the evening.
Tip: Consider parking in downtown Cincinnati and taking a bus or a cab for special events as parking can be a formidable challenge! The exhibits, particularly during Christmas, are very, very popular.
Krohn Conservatory Education
Education is of major interest to Krohn Conservatory. Guided tours are conducted Tuesday through Thursday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. during the school year and on a limited basis through the summer. About 12,000 visitors and school groups take the tours yearly. Reservations are required for guided tours and may be arranged by calling the park Board Volunteer office at (513) 421-5707.
Krohn Conservatory Rental
Krohn Conservatory can be reserved during evening hours for a private event. The Conservatory offers a unique garden setting and is ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions, private parties, corporate meetings and memorial services. For additional information on renting the Conservatory call (513) 421-5707.
When you visit the Tropical Garden, you'll see immediately why this is a favorite location for weddings. There is a wooden bridge in front of a waterfall that is one of the most romantic and photogenic locations in all of Cincinnati. There is also a stone tunnel behind the waterfall and it would be a safe bet that more kisses have been stolen in that tunnel than anywhere else in Cincinnati!
Krohn Conservatory Gift Shop
Rare and unusual plants as well as related gift items are available. The gift shop, which opened on April 12, 1974, is open seven days a week, the same hours as the Conservatory, and it is run by volunteers. These are not people who just want to sell t-shirts; they truly love the place.
