Brassocattleya Ethyle
Comments:
Identified by Alejandro Capriles - Los Angeles, CA.
Originally identified as Epidendrum citrina "Golden Doll" by Stephen Weissmann of Bristol, NH, USA.
Additional information contributed by Alejandro Capriles:
I'm not positive about this one, but I do know this flower is definitely not Epidendrum citrinum (a.k.a. Encyclia citrina, its true botanical name, and Cattleya citrina, its registration name). Judging by the flowering habit, the length of the ovary, the overall color of the flower, the width of the petals and sepals and the shape of the lip, I would say this is probably Brassocattleya Ethyle (Cattleya citrina x Brassavola nodosa). It could also be Brassocattleya Perritrina (Cattleya citrina x Brassavola perrinii), but most of the clones of this grex I've seen have shorter and flatter petals and sepals with a more open and "tailored" lip.
