Another Day, Another Doctor - Updated
This really isn't a complaint as my job right now is going to see them to do whatever nefarious things they want to do so I'll be off in a few minutes to see another one. The doc from yesterday was so busy he re-scheduled me for tomorrow. And then the gall bladder people on Monday. There's a huge plus in this, tho: I don't have to go to the work Christmas party. In fact, with any luck at all, I won't go to any Christmas parties although I did hang with Bibi for a little bit at Pranksters last night.
The biggest dilemma right now is that I know the Ballroom has to go. It's $100 US a month and it was ok when gigs would pay for that but there's no chance of it anymore. I'm concerned that pulling the plug on it will also in effect do it for SL in general so I'm going slowly as that is the most likely effect.
Off to the doctor....oh joy.
Update:
Her: Well, Mr X, we don't have you down here today.
Me: We just talked about it a couple of days ago.
Her: I know but I don't see it here.
Me: I don't want to get all Scrooge on you so let's see what else he has.
Her: Tuesday
Well, ok, so gall bladders on Monday and multiple choice on Tuesday.
Some of you are doing some armchair quarterback stuff out there so don't even say that I'm not following the playbook. I know there's been some scoffing at the iPhone as being excessive but I put the new appt into the calendar while I talked to his receptionist. I just checked and it's already back in my calendar on the computer I'm using now.
A key part of the iPhone process is the sync across machines and this has been significantly improved with OS X 10.5.6 that was released yesterday. I've been running it on this machine since then and have just seen the validation that the appt sync is working fine. I've installed it on the laptop and will upgrade the other desktop later on. I see no behavioral flaws in the upgrade at all and virtually no effort is required to install it. For more details, see MacWorld.
