Them Blogs They Are a'Changin'
The Soup has changed quite a bit recently and that's mostly because I've got it designed so I just have to wiggle my finger a little and the whole site changes. The sidebar has changed a lot as I'm consolidating things with video and music on iLike and ReverbNation. I still have to upload any particular recording but I'll have to do that anyway. What it gains me is that the Soup will update automatically so I won't have to screw around with any HTML. I'm super conscious of how much time it takes in the chair to do anything and I'm cutting it down in every possible way I can.
Facebook appeared at first to be a time-waster and it sucked up quite a bit at first but that appears to be just in the setup. My impression is that it will be possible to reach a boatload of people with relatively little effort. Ostensibly that's true with MySpace as well but that's such an oily sinkhole of mucky ooze. Since that's exactly the place for hard rock, I'll keep Silas on there but only if it's possible to maintain the presence without doing anything by linking back to iLike or ReverbNation.
I'm thinking a lot of stuff I've written lately has sounded more negative than I feel. Sure, I'm pissy somewhat about adjusting a lot of things but it's crucial for me and for you as well to cut down the chair time. I've not going to get all Aunt Bea on you but think about it sometimes. What I'm doing is trying to get the maximum presence for the least effort and it's not laziness; it's chair time. The Web just shouldn't be such a screaming pain in the ass to use and hopefully the integrations I'm putting it together will at least make it easier to use Silas Scarborough in whatever devious way you might contemplate.
"Mashing on Bibi" didn't make the cut and don't be getting all weepy on me as the reason is the change from sweet electric to hard electric is way way too harsh. No way would Barry White do that. No way. While in climbing to paradise one most often will want the ascent to be relatively gentle and there is something to be said for the sensual delicacy of a sudden increase in the intensity, done too abruptly the entire composition will fall to something might envision in sex with a wild, mountain gorilla which could only be nasty, brutish, and short.
